My Father Taught Me How To Ride A Bicycle And He Taught Me How to Act

My father took me to a street which was
long enough and had no traffic to help
me learn to ride a bicycle. He held the
bicycle with me on it so I wouldn’t fall
over. As we went together….which only
was a couple of minutes….I got the
sense of balance and pedaling…I pedaled
faster than my father could keep up
with me….that’s when I knew I knew more
than he did.

My father was an honest lawyer…...knew the law….
knew the judges because he grew up with them in the
streets of Chicago…..saw the same killings in the streets,
and so forth. He would go into a court and the judge
would say: “Hi, Irv, how are you?” The other lawyers’
jaws would drop. My dad would reply something like “Thank
you, Your Honor, very well.” or something. That’s just
one of the acting tips myfather  gave….

But why just be a lawyer…why not be anything…
that’s what I thought and why
I got into acting……Buddhism, for that matter.

"Religion no longer adequate." Dalai Lama

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/13/dalai-lama-facebook-religion-is-no-longer-adequate-science_n_1880805.html

Is this one of the evolutionary changes that are about to happen as envisaged
by Terrance and Dennis McKenna that are supposed to happen as
we approach December 21, 2012?

Heidegger All Over Me

Uncertainty?
Are you kidding me?
Have you looked at the world lately?

The closer they get to the truth
The further scientists get away from
Understanding….it’s proven.

Brains is one thing…..zombies of
parenthetical misunderstanding is
another.

Three cigarettes left to get this down,
done…..what is it I think I’m trying
to say?

“nature will find a way”  Jeff Golblum
in Jurassic Park.

McKenna was right….novelty Now!

There’s too much intelligence blanketing the planet
for something major not to emerge.

The Hat

I gotta write the poem about the hat
because the hat came to me like a poem…
I glimpsed it in a shop…was taken…
put it on…I knew it fit like a lost lover…
looked in the mirror…it looked great…
bought it on the spot…now I have a power
object that replaces my knife….I have no
idea as of yet what that means….

Note: To G.B.

I'm glad to find there is still
someone else that finds no shame
in intoxication.....

just a map.

Letter to T.L.

well...I'm glad you didn't call me Sulu....you could have called me Spock, but, you're right, that wasn't the
appropriate character....so, Scotty or, even "Bones" are acceptable...but, I don't think you would ever
elevate me to "Bones" status.  I am a mechanic, after all.....and, believe me, I know the meaning of:

"She cannot hold!!!"

So, you get an A+ for that connection.

Mr. "T"  to you......two for T, or T for two?

Letter to K.D.

Hey....we're not and never shall be in a "bro-mance"   (What idiot
came up with that..... though, it's funny) and you're not my guru
(but secretly you are....just don't tell yourself)......
and there was a third kind of little joke deal there that slipped
through my mental fingers....(lots  of spontaneous
auto amputations.....oooo  getting close to the third joke)...

well....I trust the brain cells that are left....

Hey, call me Goofy.....I'd rather be a cartoon character
than a Romney....or an Obama-nation.....

(I bet I just coined that one!)

Just having fun here....(at no one's expense!)
I just wanted to call you Big Daddy and say
come home soon.

Word Fest (for Michael R.)

Make something up…
Everything is made up….
History is remembering
What you can’t prove happened…
Maybe something happened
Because there’s a big hole there…
What was it?

What would you do without words?
The greatest events in life are wordless…
It’s all your senses can do to take it in:
A concert
A birth
A death
A wedding
A whatever….
At least, then, you’re there…
No excuses
No reason
Choice less being…
Same as Buddha.

The Isrialites

Desmond Dekker. Perhaps first reggae song to break the charts in the USA.

Awesome poetic synchronicity between voice, lyrics and beat. And a true spiritual.
Desmond's demeanor in the video is very peacock and posing...but, in that, quite
interesting. A very important song.,

Interesting feature in the video is there seems to be a couple, two gay men, that you see briefly coming in the beginning of the video (One in light brown, one in light blue)....and in two more cuts...one when they're panning from behind, and one face on. What's that about?

Hey, this was 1968.....awesome....advanced.

I Knew The Truth Then

We all did undiminished

in a moment that lasted two years,

maybe three,

there was an opening

which still exists, now,

if you have the memory

if you have the seed

if you have the gene

the antenna to register

what’s coming in now

as fantastic as the time

when the great ones

walked the earth…don’t

believe me….I only write.

But now we see it in

everything outside of

what we think is going

on, what we’re told…oh

no…don’t listen to them

ever, because they are

trying to steal your minds…

It’s what they do….

it’s all they do.

Internet

Our ripples have ripples….

our nipples have zippers…

it’s all over the internet…

everything is.

Even I, a fellow traveler,

puts up enough stuff in

a blog and, out of 7

BILLION people, a few

will hit on it….but…is there

enough there to make it stick?

That’s where Darwin comes

into this, more power to him.

This is Intelligence Squared,

As Robert Anton Wilson said,

intelligence examining itself

and selecting based on

intelligence.

This is why

There are still a few free

people left in the world.

Pinchbeck

“ are the visitors ‘real’ or ‘imaginary’?

They are both and they are neither…

Any entity only possesses relative reality,

including ourselves.

Entities that manifest as other forms of

consciousness, such as the Greys, are,

at the same time, separate from us and

aspects of our own psyche. We are the

ground of their manifestation, and it only

by attaining a non-dual perspective that

we can understand them.”

Midnight Hour

I’m going to wait ‘til the midnight hour
That’s when my love comes tumbling down
That’s when my heart opens
That’s when my mind unbends
That’s when my strength relaxes
That’s when I find the center
That’s when I am totally silly
To the point of perfection of time and space.
