Toying With Reality
“My name is Robby the Robot, mechanical man.
Guide me and steer me wherever you can.”
Robby the Robot toy, circa 1956.
My father dressed my brother and me up as kids in space
suits with helmets and took us to his office in Chicago
to show us off.
My real interest in space began when I became a Buddhist,
where I discovered space was the nature of mind.
Of course, the Homosaps were looking for space out there,
trying to expand their consciousness in a pedestrian way.
If they knew what the mind was for, maybe they’d think twice.
Instinct is only the starter kit for evolution.
The rest depends on following the clues.
Beating a dead horse doesn’t get you very far.
I seem to say the same thing over and over.
The true has always been there and hasn’t changed.
Fear keeps us from finding it ourselves.
I’m just another voice fading into oblivion.
“Hurry up, please, it’s time.”
