In the shadows, back rooms

is where things get done, 

planned, figured out.

A caucus of termites deep in the mound.

Big Foot trying to not be seen.

Ninjas in the night: how did all those

people die?

Commies creating cracks and slipping

through them.

What’s obvious is that there’s a whole

lot that’s not obvious.

Creating shade by pretending the truth

is not there.

Evolution is on hold.

Each day another chapter of the cliffhanger.

Science fiction is not necessary when

reality is fictional enough.
