Survival

Survival is for amateurs.

Buddha nature is beyond survival.

“But the pigs don’t know that and

the ponies don’t know that.” (Zappa)

“No one gets out of here alive.” (Morrison)

Beating a live horse might work.

It’s difficult to even find the Buddhist teachings.

Then, it’s hard to practice them.

Then, it’s hard to realize them…

the eye of a needle. 

Most of those that are Buddhist now have been

Buddhist before.

This is the age of Materialism.

This is not a time when Buddhism will flourish.

My teacher was an enlightened genius, raised

in Tibet, went to Oxford, learned English,

came to America and taught.

Buddhas’s teachings spread through Asia.

My teacher only had about five thousand students.
