In the USA, everyone’s always 

worked up about something,

since it’s beginning.

That’s why fads are an American invention;

the hula hoop, pet rocks, stuffing phone booths,

professional sports. 

Not around long enough for a dynasty,

unless you consider some of the families dynastic,

could be, or just nasty.

America’s roiling creativity made lots of new things.

Whether it makes it to a time of wisdom

is still a big question.
