Longing For Nonexistence (for Edgar Cayce)
Longing for space, from which existence arises,
our home that we left on our adventure of life.
A romantic yearning knowing life’s evanescence,
seeing behind the curtain where no one is.
I know my work is almost done this life.
I’ll come back if causes and conditions arise
again the way they did this time.
In an infinite universe, everything is possible
and likely, eventually.
As my teacher said:
“You’ll have plenty of time to rest when you’re dead.”
And the contract (karma) has an infinity clause.
