That  is what I was trying to understand

as to why his character…the same in  every

role….is so appealing . It is because he is

Everyman……..

…..the one who is just there  when  everything

happens like dominos falling over…like disasters

in front of your face….the one who lights a cigarette,

and says:  “Well, I guess it’s almost Thursday.”
