Near Life Experience

Happened a few years back…

…she was getting on the train,
I said: “Don’t look back.”

Could have quit my job,
moved to Bali,
but I just got a raise….
and retirement was only
thirty years away.

Now I’m on track.

Sometimes I drink, cry,
and wonder why.
