Listening to lies our whole lives 

maybe or not our parents, certainly 

everything around us; what we saw 

on t.v., learned in school, the uniforms,

the fads, the latest fashion swept away,

with only our instincts to tell the truth.

That’s sophisticated Western culture of

the Twentieth century and beyond.

Even now only a handful of people make

all the rules and it looks like the Republic

is down one, two outs in the bottom of the

ninth.
