More Of The Same

 Standing at a crossroads with only one way to go.

That’s what happens when you’re getting old.

The other paths have been traveled or blocked.

Now the karma of your life begins to take hold.

If you want to see the past, look at the present.

If you want to see the future, do the same.

What happened to you only matters because

it brought you here. The awards, victories you had

don’t mean much now, unless you’re living on accolades 

that are ultimately empty anyway.

Is there time left to finish what you want to do?

Do you still want to scale a height you haven’t seen?

Are you still looking, “out there” somewhere for truth?

Well, you don’t have to be quick to live here, but, it’s over.
