Things Get Clear When You’re Cornered
On the battlefield,
protesting ICE and getting shot,
three bananas and a peanut butter
and jelly sandwich as food for the day,
the interview for the job,
the intervention by your family.
The consequences of one’s actions are inevitable.
Will good triumph over evil?
Is that the overwhelming question?
Or is it that the Q. F. S. will come about,
(Charley Ward/Simon Parks) to save us?
(Clif High says that’s a scam).
“What’s good is bad, what’s bad is good,
you’ll find out when you reach the top
you’re on the bottom.” Dylan
We live in a time of uncertainty,
so much so that common sense
is obscured by the fog of war,
a war for our minds for which
uncertainty is the weapon.
Are space aliens real?
Is the Right right?
Are Progressives progressive?
Will there be World War Three?
In uncertainty, anything’s a possibility.
They throw in words/names you recognize
to give you a last straw to cling to.
“It would be so much easier
if you would just believe.”
