Horizontal Perspective

No point in getting all worked up about anything.

When the world is going crazy it’s better to be relaxed,

unless there’s something you can actually do about it.

Any opinion you want to agree with is found on the internet.

In the fog of war it’s difficult to discern what’s happening.

Losing your mind doesn’t help a thing.

The loudest voices are usually the ones furthest from the truth,

like drunks at a party babbling incoherently,

like activists shouting slogans, carrying manufactured signs,

like criminals in organizations that abet their crimes,

like consent that is the product of brainwashing.

Shut up and take a good look.

That’s not the same as listening to words.

Language is how we think we know and get lost.

Get back to the senses in order to learn.

Meanwhile, I’ll be resting horizontally.

It’s up to you what you do in these interesting times.
