Still In Its Infancy
We thought science meant coming out
of medieval dark age, recounting Greek
knowledge squirreled away in monasteries
copied by monks that didn’t know the
meanings of the words but were faithful
scribes. A Renaissance of culture, of facts
that belief and superstition kept behind walls.
No, even though it led to the industrial world
and invention, that meant better weapons as
well as electric lights in the halls and garbage
dispose-alls, so no discrimination as far as
the human race goes, no evolution for the
Homosap, just better toys. The universe awaits,
it’s our minds, but all we can do with the ten
percent that we use is dream/try to go to Mars
when the aliens are already here for years, yet
those in the know hide that fact afraid that the
ordinary folks would freak out if they knew,
and rightly so, because hiding the truth is a
disease of the elite know-it-alls that keeps
natural evolution from flowing, the continuity
of dark age from before, so, when the rubes
find out they’ve been tricked the elites are
afraid they’ll burn down the whole carnival,
which they will and should and did in revolutions,
it’s obviously not done yet, but it will be,
always has been on infinite worlds that we can’t
see thinking the earth is all there is, a primitive
belief if ever there was one, so, if you don’t like
reality, just wait a while, let go of your little world,
keep your eyes open, mouth shut, and dig it and
then you will grok it. Honestly, it’s that simple,
although it’s not easy.
