Absurdity

“One thing leads to another.”

That’s  a cliche.

Cliches point to something

that happens over and over,

over and over,

over and over.

That’s why Absurdist Theatre arose;

Existentialism with a sense of humor.

It came and went because things

come and they go.

“Don’t you people ever learn?”

“How many times do I have to tell you?”

The absurdity is endless really.

“You could have knocked me over with a feather.”

That’s why there are so many punchlines

in the first place.

“Why don’t you watch where you’re going?”

could be the overwhelming question.
