Shocking Discovery

 “What’s your fucking pronouns?!”

is how I greet young strangers today.

They seem happy I asked, and shocked

at the same time. Or, do they?

Do I really say that to people,

or am I just writing bullshit?

And is that any different than all of us

constantly making up our lives?
