Summer Illinois Hot Teen

Driving at night, drunk or not,

through Illinois like all the corn

states, humid, testosterony fertile

frenzy fueled by the radio beat and

wind of speed…we had fun and

some of us went too fast and died…

but that didn’t stop the rest of us, no,

it took getting older and seeing that

our freedom was a myth to do that.
