Report From Never Mind

I went back to Colorado of Never Mind Country...

things were going about as well as a rodeo on Lake Michigan in January....

it was going down even though there were plenty of cars on the streets,

some things cost about the same as a year ago....

...but there was a change......

people were more polite...

more sensitive...

and I think, now, what it is is that the line is so tight...

the boundary is so tight....

between prosperity and disaster...

as when you are asleep

and you realize that you are waking up...

and you so desperately don't want to do

anything to disturb your dream.
